Consultations are by appointment.
Willoughby Medical Practice is a private medical practice.
Our fees are due at the time of consultation.
Our billing schedule is based on Medicare guidelines. CONSULTATION FEES
DOCTORS CONSULTATION FEE SCHEDULE
Willoughby Medical Practice is a Mixed Billing practice with bulk billing available to the following eligible Medicare patients.
Eligible patients for bulk billing
o Under 16 years of age
o A person who holds and is eligible for a current health concession card, pension card
o Holders of a DVA Gold Card / White Card (specific conditions).
If a current card cannot be produced, you will be required to pay our normal “Pay on the Day” fee.

The following groups will be bulk billed:
– Children under 16 years of age
– Commonwealth Concession and Health Care Card Holders
– Pension cardholders
– DVA Gold Card Holders & White Card Holders.
If you have given your bank account details to Medicare, we are able to claim your rebate online, which will be refunded to your bank account within 48 hours.
Workers Compensation
Workers Compensation patients must provide a valid claim number each time they present for a consultation. Until a claim is accepted and the number registered, the patient is required to pay for the consultation on the day.
Vaccination Fees
Private vaccines, not included in the national immunization programme will incur a fee. Please discuss with the nurse on duty.
Skin Cancer Surgery.
Skin Biopsies and other minor surgical procedures generally incur a gap fee of $ 50 – $ 75, please discuss with your doctor.
Non-attendance & Cancelling appointments
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment you must provide at least 2 hours notice so that we can make the appointment time available to other patients.
o Patients who fail to attend OR who provide insufficient notice of cancellation will be charged a nonattendance fee of $50.
o The non-attendance fee is not claimable through Medicare Australia and patients will not be able to make another appointment until the fee has been paid in full.

TRANSFER OF MEDICAL RECORDS
Reception are happy to assist you in transferring your records to your new practice for a fee of $20
PRESCRIPTIONS AND REFERRAL
Please ask your GP for prescriptions or referral as part of your consultation. Your GP will assess your health status prior to writing a prescription.
It is necessary for us to see you when you require a referral letter so that we can ensure that the referral is appropriate and that your letter contains the correct details when you see your specialist.
If a prescription or referral is made outside a consultation, a fee may be incurred.
Information Regarding Fees
Based on the service provided, including content, time and guidelines set by the A.M.A., different fees do occur for a wide variety of consultations and procedures. Willoughby Medical Practice has a combination of Private and Bulk Billed Services.
We ask for payment on the day. We accept cash, cheque and have EFTPOS facilities. Accounts that are not settled on the day will incur a $5.00 administration charge.
All patients are expected to pay a private fee unless they provide Reception with the details of the Pension or Health Care Card.
